Community involvement is at the heart of Eagles Island Nature Park’s mission. The Friends of Eagles Island is a growing community of people who share a common interest in protecting, understanding, and thoughtfully opening one of North Carolina’s most remarkable landscapes.

By becoming a Friend of Eagles Island, you’ll receive occasional updates on the project’s progress, invitations to quarterly Zoom presentations, opportunities to share your ideas, and news about upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. There are no dues, no obligations, and no expectations—just an opportunity to stay informed and be part of an exciting journey.

Quarterly Friends meetings are held via Zoom from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Time). You’ll receive an email invitation a few days before each meeting. We hope you’ll become a Friend of Eagles Island and join us as we work together to protect, preserve, and create carefully planned public access to this extraordinary natural, cultural, and historic resource.
